APA Masterclass 2015 – Call for Applications is Now Open

The APA Masterclass is now in its 14th year and the course has proved immensely popular and is now established as an important component in the training of the producers of tomorrow. The purpose of the Masterclass is to enable production managers and production assistants to develop their expertise in commercials production.

SCHEDULE

The course consists of Monday night classes, starting from early January 2015 and finishing in May 2015 with the APA Masterclass graduation exam. Full program of the 14th APA Masterclass will be announced soon.

The course is open to employees of APA and IPA member companies only and is FREE of charge.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

a) A Production Assistant or Production Manager who the production, editing or post company engaging you believes has the potential to produce commercials within twelve months. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience within the industry to be eligible for the Masterclass.

b) An Agency TV Department staff member who should have completed the IPA Producers Knowledge course.

APPLICATIONS DEADLINE

Applications will be accepted until the 17th October, 2014; to apply you will need to have completed an application form provided by the APA, along with a letter of recommendation.

By the 21st November 2014, we will announce which students made it into the program. We recommend that students put a significant amount of time and effort into completing their applications as space will be limited next year due to the new premises where Masterclass will be held plus the competition is always fierce. Please be kindly informed that any applications received outside of the deadline will not be considered for the course.

A completed application form by the student applying.
A letter of recommendation from a senior producer or Head of TV supporting the student’s statement.
