Brexit Immigration Law Advice for European Staff Employed at APA Member Companies
Posted in Events, News, tagged with Brexit, Training, on April 19, 2017
Our foremost Brexit issue, on APA member’s behalf, is to safeguard access to overseas talent – something which has made a critical contribution to the success of London’s commercials production industry.
We are campaigning with other advertising and creative industries organisations for a visa system that ensures that you continue to have access to the best talent from Europe, in particular.
People from Europe, working for APA members – either as employees or on a freelance basis- are understandably anxious about their immigration status.
So anyone who works for you who has a European passport is invited to a meeting at 9.30am on Thursday 4th May, at MPC, 127 Wardour Street, W1F 0NL, for a presentation by the APA’s employment expert, Janice Leggett, from Birketts LLP, Solicitors.
Janice will explain that, although the future immigration status of European passport holders is unknown, pending Brexit negotiations, that there are practical steps that European passport holders can take now to safeguard their status in the UK and will answer the questions of attendees.
Janice has helped the APA and its members with immigration issues, including certificates of sponsorship and visas, for people coming into the UK for over 15 years and her advice is always extremely sound and practical, so hearing her advice will help your European staff.
Please send the names of people from your company who will attend to [email protected].
