First Training Session Takes Place

35 individuals from APA member companies took part in their first 2-hour training session with Creative Mentor Network this morning, focusing on what unconscious bias looks like and how to navigate that when mentoring young people from a wealth of different backgrounds.
One of the reasons we were keen to work with CMN is down to the work they do with mentors before connecting them with their mentees, ensuring that relationships can be positive and empowering for both parties.
The group of mentors-in-training have another class coming up, before they’ll meet with their mentees and kick-off the main part of the programme.
