Steve Ackroyd Fundraising Walk

Steve Ackroyd, an editor at APA member company Final Cut, is currently seeking treatment for brain cancer. As a result, Steve’s loved ones are planning a Sex Education-style fundraising walk on Saturday 24th February 2024 to help Steve fight brain cancer.
‘We’ve come together and devised a plan for a sponsored walk on February 24th, 2024, this will help keep Steve’s treatment going and also raise awareness for much-needed brain cancer research. It was devastating to find out that brain tumours kill more people under 40 than any other cancer. Yet just 1% of the national spending on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since 2002.
For those of you who don’t know, Steve edited Netflix’s Sex Education. Therefore, we thought an 80/90’s Sex Ed dress-up style would be fitting! When Steve was diagnosed, he was editing the final series and reluctantly had to stop working when the treatment and seizures got too much.
So, on 24 Feb a group of Steve’s friends, colleagues and family are getting together, in Sex Education inspired fancy dress, to walk through Central London. All are welcome!! Contact us via Go Fund Me.’
