APA x IPA Production Pitch Process Initiative

At our joint meeting with the IPA yesterday, we launched the Production Pitch Process Initiative and the Production Process Best Practice Guide.

The Production Pitch Process Initiative is created and agreed between the IPA, ISBA and ourselves, on behalf of agencies, clients and production companies respectively.

The documents are created to address the urgent concerns that APA members have with the treatment/pitching process and makes a commitment on behalf of all parts of the industry to encourage all parts of the industry to commit to fairness, transparency and communication, to make commitments in respect of economic sustainability and a reasonable workload, to an orderly and timely process and to realistic briefs and expectations.

The APA/IPA Production Pitch Best Practice adds specifics/detail to that, setting out what those commitments mean at each stage of the process.

These documents provide new and best processes that will help you and the agencies and advertisers you work with manage that process for better outcomes for all.

We will monitor the implementation and undertake such further work or tweaks as are needed as these processes are implemented- and your feedback will help us to do that.
