The APA Masterclass is established as the industry standard in training for the next generation of producers.
The 5-day intensive course has been a foundation for many successful Commercial Producers and is a thorough exploration into all elements of the Advertising Production process – focusing on the key and vital aspects of producing a commercial from the role of a producer, scheduling, budgeting, right through to copyright and contracts.
Each day runs from 9am – 6pm. On the final day, a budgeting workshop is held with over 25 top production & agency producers guiding the students in an interactive, all-day session. Students also undergo the Masterclass exam two weeks after the completion of the course in their own time, before receiving their certificates.
The course is £300+VAT per student for APA member companies.
The applicant will be a Production Assistant, Production Manager or Junior Producer who the production, editing or post company engaging them believes has the potential to produce commercials within twelve months.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience within the industry to be eligible for the Masterclass.
The course is always oversubscribed, so please apply below to help secure your place on the course.

UNDER-REPRESENTED DIRECTORS
As part of the content for the Masterclass we look at campaigns that have been produced from the membership. Whilst we will of course look at some of the top campaigns, we want to continue making a conscious effort to increase the representation of work from underrepresented groups (women, people of colour, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ people) within our course and the campaigns we analyse.
Please submit to us two of your top TVCs you worked on in 2024 ensuring that at least one of them was directed by someone who identifies with one or more of these groups.
