And that’s a wrap on the Masterclass for 2025!

121 Students
31 Edit, VFX & Sound Design houses
26 Guest Speakers
18 Supporting Production & TV Agency Producers
7 Lead Tutors
7 Contributing Directors.

Last week we welcomed a new generation of production and agency producers, on our one week intensive programme, giving the students a unique insight into producing live action commercials and focusing on key and vital aspects of producing a commercial from the role of a producer, scheduling, budgeting, right through to copyright and contracts.

It was a pleasure to host and help educate these talented young minds. We absolutely loved putting the course together with the help of our amazing lead tutors:

Andrew Levene – Stink
Helen Hadfield – Snapper
Jeremy McWilliams – Original Branded Entertainment
Jenny Beckett – Partizan
Polly Du Plessis – Freelance
Kate Arton – PI Film Network
Charlotte Fuller – PI Film Network.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all of the speakers, lead tutors, producers, and directors who shared their wisdom and experience with our Masterclass students – none of this would have been possible without you all.

Some highlights of the week:

  • Delving into the craft, production and agency complexities behind Saatchi & Love Song’s series of EE Campaigns, and Mother & Business Club’s KFC’s ‘Believe in Chicken’.
  • The Virtual Production session where Quiet Brilliant and AMVBBDO looked at their Dyson campaign ft Stormy, that they shot on Quiet Brilliant’s v.p stage.
  • The 31 Edit, VFX, and Sound Design houses, who opened their doors to our students to run multiple demos, giving the students an overview of the post-production process.

  • The visit to the Arri Rental HQ, where the students were given extensive camera lenses, Grip Equipment and workflow demos.
  • Going through the comedic Audible ‘Breakdown’ script, with perspectives from a casting director, location scout, production designer, and 1st AD.
  • Welcoming the 18 additional production & agency producers on Friday to help teach for the budgeting day, where they give invaluable support in helping the students to produce a bid letter, budget and schedule based on a chosen script.
  • And finally, wrapping it up at the pub on Friday.

We cant wait to do it all over again next year!
