The APA Announces the Launch of Production Unplugged: A New Initiative To Drive Direct Partnerships & Collaboration Between Brands and the Creative Production Industry

The Advertising Producers Association (APA) has announced the launch of Production Unplugged, a new initiative designed to foster direct partnerships between brands and production companies. Set to take place on May 1, 2025, in London, Production Unplugged will unite over 500 industry leaders, marketers, and production experts for a full day of networking, knowledge-sharing, and creative collaboration.

With the ever-evolving landscape of advertising and branded content, APA’s recently released 2024 industry report ‘What Clients Want from Advertising Production Today’ revealed a growing demand for stronger connections between brands and production companies. Production Unplugged is the APA’s answer to that need—a dynamic forum where marketing professionals can engage with APA members to explore innovative production solutions and build long-term strategic relationships.

Production Unplugged will offer a unique format designed for maximum engagement. More than a standalone event, it will be an ongoing initiative offering a year-round community dedicated to knowledge exchange and creative discovery.

The inaugural will include six curated zones honing in on key brand areas of interest, including:

  • Future Focus
  • Smart Production
  • Customer Experience
  • ESG
  • New Product Development
  • Agile Partnerships

The event will also feature a curated list of the UK’s top production exhibitors demonstrating cutting-edge solutions for brand content, thought-provoking panels and fireside chats with leading industry figures, and a digital directory and networking platform to foster ongoing engagement beyond the event.

Production Unplugged will bring together brands, procurement specialists, and APA members in a uniquely creative environment, looking to facilitate partnerships and knowledge sharing. Attendees will gain first hand insights into how production companies contribute to brand storytelling, sustainability efforts, effectiveness and the evolution of multi-platform content marketing.

“Our goal with Production Unplugged is to create an ecosystem where brands and our members can collaborate more effectively,” said Steve Davies, CEO at APA. “By removing barriers and sparking new conversations, we hope to redefine the future of commercial creativity and create opportunities for all involved.”

APA is currently welcoming partners, sponsors, and supporters to be a part of this exciting initiative. With opportunities to host panels, curate content, and gain year-round exposure through their networking platform and digital directory, Production Unplugged offers an unparalleled chance to connect with the industry’s leading decision-makers.
