WHAT IS PRODUCTION UNPLUGGED?

Production Unplugged is a new networking initiative from the APA, designed to drive direct partnership & collaboration between brands & the members.

Our aim is to inspire new ideas and innovative ways of working.

WHY HAVE WE CREATED PRODUCTION UNPLUGGED?

The APA’s 2024 report ‘What Clients want from advertising production today’ revealed that brands want to hear more about production companies and their capabilities. They would like to understand the creative potential of evolving media technologies and how production companies can be central to solving their complex marketing needs. With more and more brands in-housing their strategic planning, direct relationships with specialist producers can be hugely beneficial.

APA Members in production, post-production and other creative production specialists.

SHOWCASING TALENT AT OUR PRODUCTION UNPLUGGED EVENT.

Our live event on May 1st 2025, will bring together a wide spectrum of brands and APA members showcasing their very latest creative technologies and production possibilities.

If you would like to be considered as an exhibitor, you must submit a case study(s) into one of the Production Unplugged Zones: 6 key topics will be explored in ‘zones’, each featuring curated exhibitors, presenters and discussions:

What are the benefits of submitting a case study?

ANYONE SUBMITTING:

  • Sharpen your direct to brand skills; these zones and their criteria have been chosen to reflect the needs of modern marketers today. Entering a case study will help you tune into what marketers are looking for.
  • Have your work reviewed by senior brand-side curators & industry experts; all qualified entries will be reviewed by a team of curators / zone.
  • Earn your place in the Production Unplugged Directory; ALL exhibitors AND qualified entries will be listed in the directory, which will be made available to brands immediately after the event and become ongoing resource for them

EXHIBITORS:

  • Showcase live at the event; those who are chosen to exhibit by the curators will have two live presentation slots in their zone at the event
  • Your own branded networking area; exhibitors will have their own branded networking area to make it easy for interested marketers to seek them out
  • Get 2 free entry tickets to the event if you are chosen to exhibit

ANYONE ATTENDING:

  • Learn from brands; improve your understanding of brands’ needs through fireside chats and panels from brand side marketers, procurement and industry leaders
